Those of you who regularly read our blogs will know that Clean Shield are proud
to look after the out of term Deep Cleaning and regular Commercial Contract Cleaning at many schools and colleges across Gloucestershire.
Since the Covid-19 outbreak many schools, particularly primary schools have been continually open to look after the children of key workers.
One such school is the newly built, Hunts Grove Primary Academy which is located on the rapidly growing Hunts Grove development, just a two minute drive from the Clean Shield offices in Waterwells, Quedgeley. This impressive, multi million pound, state of the art school, opened its doors to pupils in September 2019 and since Clean Shield took on the cleaning contract, the site has been looked after from day one by Sue Randal and her team, who have all worked hard to maintain the cleaning standards of this new build. Of course, along with our other school cleaning teams, Sue has had to quickly adjust to the ever changing, cleaning practises, such as the safe use of powerful chemicals, that have come into place as the learnings from the Covid-19 outbreak have gone on.
However, Sue, like her fellow Key Workers, has taken all these challenges & changes in her stride and prides herself in not letting them stop her from getting the job done. Outside of work, family is very important to Sue, she has 4 grown up children, and enjoys looking after her granddaughters every other weekend, to relax she enjoys gardening and weekend breaks in her VW Camper Van, where, along with her two Labrador’s enjoys long walks in the countryside and seaside.
Sue has also recently decided to move to Tewkesbury to be closer to her family and this has led to her making the difficult decision to move on from Clean Shield and the Hunts Grove Primary Academy.
Clean Shield MD, Kathy Price, said “ the Covid-19 outbreak has changed the way of life at home and in the workplace for millions of people, but it has also brought people together, all working towards the same goal of not letting this virus beat us! Sue is one of these people, and I am very proud of the way she and the rest of the Clean Shield Team have gladly stepped up to the plate when needed. I would personally like to wish Sue well in her move to pastures new and thank you for all your hard work and dedication, your efforts are very much appreciated by myself and everyone here at Clean Shield”.
