We couldn’t do a blog this week without mentioning Cheltenham Races, which is probably the biggest annual crowd pulling event
in the whole of Gloucestershire with thousands of people arriving from all around the world to attend this year’s festival.
Of course, as with any largescale event where people congregate there will have to be an action plan in place for a big clean up after all the Punters have left for the day, this will involve people, equipment, commercial cleaning materials and of course risk assessments & health & safety checks in place both prior and after the clean-up operation.
In the evening Cheltenham itself will be bursting at the seams as both the winning and losing punters will be wanting to hit the towns bars, restaurants and night clubs to celebrate their day and as they wend their way back to their hotels in the early hours of the morning, the road sweepers, litter pickers and street cleaners will be doing a first class job in getting the town spick and span for the next day’s racing.
If you are planning to go to the Cheltenham Festival this year or are just going to have a little flutter on the Gold Cup we wish you luck…!
