A Light at the End of the Tunnel

A light at the end of the tunnel …

It is the news we have all been waiting for since the lockdown began, non-essential companies, retailers, some schools, and the like can start to reopen their doors from June.

This is great news as this hopefully is the beginning of getting back to some form of normality for us all.

At Clean Shield this has meant many of our contract commercial cleaning customers are now in the throes of opening their doors and returning to work.

As you can imagine it has been a very busy time for us as we help them with their plans which will of course include the very important provision of deep cleaning and sanitisation in preparation for their staff returning to work.

It also means that furloughed members of the Clean Shield Team can now look forward to coming back to work.

One such person is Debbie, who joined Clean Shield at the beginning of the year, joining an established team looking after a large site in Cheltenham.

In the short time that Debbie has been at Clean Shield prior to the lockdown, she has shown her ability to clean to very high standards.

Nothing is ever too much trouble for Debbie, and she was more than willing to help out another Clean Shield Team who were working on a school deep clean.

Outside of Clean Shield, Debbie is Mum to her two teenage children and enjoys going to the theatre, watching live music and is an avid fan of boxing.

Clean Shield MD Kathy Price said Although Clean Shield have been busy during the shutdown, providing normal cover and Agency Cleaning for essential services, it is great to see the light at the end of the tunnel, now that many more businesses are being allowed to return to work. This is great news for Debbie and all the Clean Shield Team members who have been on furlough. Myself and the rest of the team are looking forward to welcoming them all back into the fold”
